Nature Hot Spot: 
Lake Starnberg (Starnberger See)

Lake Starnberg is not only a very beautiful lake and popular to many Munich citizens and tourists, but also a great spot for nature enthusiasts. Especially during winter times, it attracts many water birds and you can see many rare species here that are breeding in the Nordics during summer time.

My favorite spots for birding are:

1.) Seeseiten, underneath the beautiful restaurant (that offers a breathtaking view around the sea and the alps)

2.) Seeshaupt campsite 

3.) Seeshaupt steamer dock
