Nature Hot Spot:
Oberallgäu
Oberallgäu is the most southern district in Germany, and part of the federal state of Bavaria. It is a very bio-diverse district, with habitats ranging from alpine, to sub-alpine, lakes, marshlands, moors, and many more.
The below pictures are taken from my visit in Balderschwang, German'ys highest municipality above sea level, and the Riedberger Pass, and its peaks. You can read more in my blog post.
From a wildlife perspective, my main highlight was the sighting of a black grouse just underneath the peak of the mountain Riedberger Horn, which is a breeding area for these beautiful birds.
