Nature Hot Spot:
South Africa
Back in 2017, we toured South Africa. It was really an amzing experience, and certainly a nature and wildlife photographer's dream.
I particularly liked the following places, in which the below pictures were taken:
-
Blyde River Canyon's breath-taking views and landscape.
-
Krueger National Park - certainly not a secret 😀 - it is a huge park, and truely a unique experience to take a safari here.
-
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park: I loved this park - though a lot smaller than Krueger, I almost preferred it, with its smaller size and kind of more personal, vivid experience.
-
iSimangaliso Wetland Park: great for watching hippos and crocodiles.
-
Royal Natal National Park, with the Drakensberg Amphitheatre, a rock wall 5 kilometres long by up to 1,200 metres high.
-
The Tsitsikama National Park along the Garden Route, with its dramatic and tremendously beautiful coastline.
-
Robberg Nature Reserve peninsula nearby Plettenberg Bay - there is a colony of sea bears that can be seen throughout the year. If you are lucky, you get to see sharks or whales, and in any case, a lot of waterfowl.
-
In and around Cape Town, it is fun to see the squirrels and daisies.
-
Lovely are also the African penguins at Boulders Beach, nearby Cape Town.
-
And I was very surprised to see an ostrich nearby the Cape of Good Hope.
